Executive Producer/Director Recruitment

Following 9 years of continuous work leading Nuu Theatre, Ben Quashie has resigned from his position as Artistic Director, along with Executive Producer Rebecca Lyle. They have both become trustees of the organisation in order to support the future of Nuu Theatre.

The Executive Producer/Director works with the Artistic Director to execute the vision and plan the strategic vision for the company. They work across the breadth of Nuu Theatre’s output, having a hand in the development of new work, forging relationships with venues and programming partners, and ensuring that the company’s values are practised in all activity it undertakes. The role is intended to be a co-CEO position with our Artistic Director, Sam Turton, who started with us in November 2025.

This partnership thrives on open communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to making bold, original work. While each role has its own focus, decision-making is collaborative and aligned, with both partners contributing to the leadership of the company. We are looking for an individual who is driven, ambitious and knowledgeable of the current UK theatre sector.

The deadline for applying is 11:00 on March 6th 2026, with a view to start interviewing w/c March 16th 2026.
